The average days on the market for a house is now 74 to 82-83 days, and while your property could still sell quickly, it may take longer than expected. Due to the reduced demand, sellers need to adjust to the “new normal” and be prepared to make compromises, such as negotiating repairs, covering closing costs, and accepting offers that are contingent on the buyer selling their own property.

Despite the need to compromise, spring 2023 is still a favorable time to sell a house, and sellers should be aware of the need for flexibility.
