Are home prices collapsing here in East Texas?
We don’t think so.
Have you heard experts say that home prices are collapsing this year? Over the last 6 months we have seen declines month over month in home prices nationally, but what does that mean for our local market here in East Texas and specifically, here in Tyler, Texas?
There are two things you need to know about the Smith County market:
1. According to the Case-Shiller Home Price Index that was just released for November 2022, home prices in Smith County have remained flat. So, we are NOT seeing a collapse in home prices here locally.
2. Compared to 18 months ago, home prices are up 44% in Smith County.
